I didn’t go to college to be a writer.

In fact, I majored in Elementary Education and was a teacher in Arizona for a few years. But that’s another story. Past AP English, I never took a formal writing class. I wrote constantly and knew one day I’d be a writer, but I didn’t even know writing in marketing was a thing you could do.

In 2016, I quit teaching, worked a cash register at a soup shop, barely made ends meet and started building my freelance writing career from the ground up. From there, I transitioned quickly into marketing and SEO. I’ve had a consistent mix of independent contracting and agency work ever since.

It was somewhere between a winding road and quest to Mordor to get here — good thing I love to travel. The journey was beyond worth it and I couldn’t be happier.
